Description: Are you at a loss when translating your favorite counseling techniques into sessions with children and teens? Do you sometimes feel that the only way to treat children is with “cutesy” activities you hate?  This engaging presentation will provide a healthy dose of inspiration along with instantly usable techniques that almost any therapist can employ.


Learning Objectives Include:

· Learn dozens of practical tips and techniques that can be implemented right away in daily practice

· Brainstorm with colleagues about the best ways to use these techniques with specific clients

· Consider new ways to deal with tricky ethical issues like self-harm, confidentiality, disclosures to parents, social media, and more

· Gather ideas for working traditional counseling strategies into treatment of teens and children, without rearranging your office into a playroom or losing your identity as a practitioner

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

Refunds are granted, less a $25 administrative fee, for those requests received in writing by email within two weeks of the seminar. Email requests to No refunds will be given if received less than two weeks from the seminar. If a person fails to attend the seminar and fails to contact us prior to the seminar about a cancellation, no refunds will be issued nor applied to a future seminar. If Cornerstone Counseling Center, LLC cancels any seminars, a full refund will be given. Cornerstone Counseling Center, LLC reserves the right to cancel any seminars due to low enrollment, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. By enrolling in a seminar, you agree to and will adhere to this policy.


Replacement Certificate Policy:

It is the policy and procedure of Cornerstone Counseling Center, LLC to provide our customers with a certificate of attendance at the end of each seminar. In the event that someone needs a replacement certificate, email our office at and request a new certificate. Please provide your name, course title and date. Please be advised that there will be a fee of $20 for a replacement certificate.


























Celeste Coffman, M.A., LPC: Celeste Coffman is a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Thoughtful Journey Counseling in Florence, Alabama.  She is also a Certified School Counselor with over a decade of experience in higher education and K-12 schools.  Celeste focuses primarily on counseling for anxiety disorders and adjustment disorders, utilizing positive encouragement and clinically-proven techniques to help clients move from living in fear to living with purpose.
